See the ads auditsThe formula
Cost per lead = ad spend / leads. Cost per customer = ad spend / (leads x close rate).
A worked example
5,000 of ads bring 80 leads: 62.50 per lead. If 15% become customers, that is 12 customers at about 417 each.
How to read your result
- Cost per customer matters more than cost per lead: cheap leads that never buy are expensive.
- A low close rate often means slow replies or no follow-up rather than bad leads.

How do I calculate cost per lead?
Divide what you spent on ads by the number of leads they produced. Count only real enquiries, not duplicates or spam.
How can I lower my cost per customer without new ads?
Close more of the leads you already pay for: reply faster, follow up more than once, and qualify leads with the right questions on the form.
